We are happy to be supporting CHEERIO Publishing’s exhibition "Pariah Genius: John Deakin, the Psychobiography of a Photographer" at Swedenborg House in London, which runs from 26th April to 24th May 2024.
The first event during the exhibition will be held on May 2nd, 2024, featuring novelist, filmmaker, and psychogeographer Iain Sinclair, alongside renowned comedian, director, and writer Stewart Lee. Together they'll be delving into Sinclair's latest novel, Pariah Genius, which CHEERIO Publishing described as ‘…an engrossing, utterly unique portrait of a man who some felt was a fallen angel, and others, the devil himself.’
Adding to the evening's appeal, guests will have the opportunity to admire eleven vintage black and white prints by John Deakin, from our collection (some of which have Bacon’s paint marks visible on them).
Pariah Genius will be available for purchase at a special discounted price of £17.50 during the event. Those who purchase the book on-site will be treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco, along with the exclusive opportunity to have their copies signed during the evening.
