Denis Wirth Miller was one of Bacon’s closest friends but the relationship has been described as stormy. Nevertheless, both individuals remained in close contact over the years. It is speculated that they might have worked together on a number of paintings in the 1950s, such as House in Barbados, 1952 and Landscape, 1952.
